Finally, we have a reason to skip exercise. A new study says that people who dislike working out are more intelligent than people who hit the gym on a regular basis.
What conclusion did the study published in the Journal of Health Psychology reach?
People who exercise are non-thinkers who get bored easily, whereas the ones who dislike exercising are thinkers who don’t surrender to boredom. Maybe the non-thinkers want to escape their inner world, researchers explained.
People who “enjoy cognitive endeavors” are more likely not to take interest in physical activity. That’s because they are too busy thinking, if you didn’t catch that already.
Active people who engage in various physical activities become bored easily. Which feeds the need to be more active. Working out does get pretty boring, perhaps that’s why each exercise doesn’t take more than 5 minutes.
