1. Have reasons for each possible outcome
If you ask someone out, try to visualize the many possible outcomes. They could agree, disagree, but it also depends on the context. Try to find a reason for each of these outcomes. Say, if they say ‘no’ maybe it’s because they are already involved with someone else.

2. Prepare yourself mentally for the negative outcome
This will help you tremendously.
3. Don’t take it personally
This means you will have to be objective in your analysis of the outcomes. If someone rejects you or even breaks up with you, then it might be them.

4. Use the pain in rejection to focus on other things in your life
Try to shift your focus from the rejection story and from your partner. Maybe this is the right time to challenge yourself and accept that rejection is part of everyone’s life. Sometimes, it’s just out of our control.
