You Don’t Need Someone To Complete You

We’ve been accustomed to look for people who can complete us when in a relationship. We always seem to want someone who can be the yin to our yang and so on.

But what if…this is a myth? We can’t expect to be with someone just because we feel they ‘complete’ us. That would imply we’re not whole as individuals, that we lack something. Something we can only find externally, in another human being.

What we do need from a loved one is acceptance. Being accepted for who we are means we are also understood. This is what we should strive to achieve in any relationship.

If they can’t accept you for who you are, they’re not worth it. Do you agree? Send us your thoughts!
