That’s My Friend – LOVE MATTERS

I may not be the most important person in your life. I just hope when you hear my name, you smile and say “That’s my friend!”

Friends are the family you get to choose.

It’s pretty cliche to say it but friendship is one of the most beautiful relationships in life and from a social standpoint one of the most important. It can help you wen you’re down it can help you when you’re out of ideas and it surely helps you develop into a wonderful human being.

Friends love each other for who they are and not for who they want one another to become. A true friend might not get the same thrill as you do from doing something but they sure are happy when you enjoy something. True friendships are connections that last a really long time and if you’re lucky enough to find such a thing hold on to it as tight as you can. True friends are very rare.

Best friends are unique.

They challenge you to become a better person everyday, even without knowing it. They build you up and at the same time they offer comfort and balance. They often require no explanation and no asking twice. They understand you like no other person on this earth. Even when the friendship becomes more difficult to manage (one of you has a newborn and needs to spend more time with their family, sickness or even needing time alone) the relationship does not diminish. It grows stronger everyday. Best friends endure and go on.

“Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
– Marcel Proust

It’s the fuel that fuels your soul and it’s as important as love. Friendship gives happiness, hopefulness and true meaning to one’s life. Try to be a good friend to everyone who’s a good friend to you and you’ve found one of the most important secrets in life. The beautiful thing about friendship is that friends are friends because they want to be. Time goes by so fast, there is no replay and no rewind. That’s all the more reason to cherish friendships.

It only takes a few seconds to hurt someone. But sometimes it takes years to repair the damage. Cherish the hearts that love you.

Share this beautiful thought with someone who needs to see it. Thank you so much!
