With the new smash hit that is the magical La La Land, the leading actor Ryan Gosling is now enjoying an even more amazing ascent on the Hollywood scene. Awards and fans seem to flow and the craze around his persona is getting, well…crazier. But what’s all the fuss about? He’s just an actor, right? Yes and no. Here are 7 reasons why we can’t get enough of Ryan Gosling!
1. He was a Mouseketeer.
As part of the Mickey Mouse Club, he was childhood friends with Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Christina Aguilera – all huge pop icons today.
2. He can sing and dance too!
Acting is not the only thing Gosling can pull off. His other skills include singing and dancing and if waltzing among the stars in La La Land isn’t proof enough, then we don’t know what is. You can check his other dance moves on YouTube if you don’t believe us. Great vocals too! And what about soothing us with a piano tune? Checked!
3. He’s versatile as an actor.
The characters he played throughout his career so far are very varied. They range from most violent to most tender parts. Some of these include breathtaking performances in The Believer, Half Nelson, and of course, Drive.
4. He respects and highly appreciates women.
Because he grew up with his mother and sister, he was surrounded by strong female characters. This is why he’s attracted to these types of roles for women in the movies he’s in and also why he embraces his feminine side.
5. He’s got a great sense of humor.
(If you’ve melted already, it’s alright. So did we!). He can put on a show and make people laugh and that’s another attractive quality. Not to mention he doesn’t really take himself seriously.
6. He did ballet as a kid and he’s in a band.
This makes Gosling super arts-oriented. And that’s great for everyone who can relate. Looks like he’s more like the sensitive characters he portrays on the screen. Do we complain? Nope.
7. He knows how to knit.
If that’s not adorable, then what is? Apparently, he found this activity very relaxing when on the set of Lars and the Real Girl. Cool!
