Doesn’t being a woman feel exhausting at times? We strive to do it all and to achieve perfection in every aspect of our professional and personal lives.
But maybe it’s time to take a small break and just live life at its fullest. Consider all the possibilities out there and believe we can achieve anything we put our minds to. Because we can, ok?
So for your own good, maybe you should stop doing these 7 things:
1. Treating food like an enemy
We often get the message that our worth is all about our looks. So we must always look our best to please even if that implies not eating anything for a day. But here’s a thought: you should forget about this and enjoy any foods you like. Savor whatever it is that you want and always think of food as nourishing yourself.
A lot of things will change if we change our relationship with food.

2. Feeling like an impostor when achieving something in your career
This is something that, sadly, a lot of women go through. Unlike men, women seem to think they may not deserve this or that promotion. Maybe this is also part of the equal pay gap issue. But guess what? You’ve earned it, you are worthy of your success and you should just be celebrating. Period.
3. Comparing yourself to other women
Again, this is something most women do, even though we admit it doesn’t make our lives any better. Although there may be not as much competition between women as it is between males, we’re still making silly comparisons.

4. Try to be a superwoman
Sometimes, being a superwoman is a reality, not a myth. There are women out there who are able to cope with being great mothers, housewives and have a bright career too. But it’s really difficult sometimes to try to do all at once. Consider relaxation every once in a while or just taking a break.
5. Fearing being single
Newsflash: your worth does not reside in having a partner either. Being on your own doesn’t mean no one wants to be in a relationship with you. It’s just a matter of choice. And the fear of ending up lonely is also unfounded.
6. Fearing the label ‘feminist’
This label has been for a long time now associated with something bad. That’s because we still live in a world mostly dominated by men, whether it’s in politics or the entertainment industry. Being labeled a ‘feminist’ means you must be doing something right, being on the right side of history.

7. Complying with society’s gender roles and beauty standards
Needless to say, sexist dress codes abound. Just try to feel comfortable in your own skin. That’s where actual beauty comes from.
