After 20 Years, George Clooney Returns To TV In A New Series

Fans go crazy as George Clooney returns to TV, after nearly 20 years.

The 56 year-old actor is back on the small screen in ‘Catch-22′, an adaptation of Joseph Heller novel. He is set to star and also direct the limited series written by Luke Davies (‘Lion’) and David Michod (‘War Machine’).

The two-time Oscar winner left the hit series medical drama ‘ER’ almost 20 years ago and people are going mad over his return to television.

The six-episode limited series is produced by Paramount Television and Anonymous Content but has yet to land a network distributor. According to the studio, George Clooney is said to receive 1 million per episode.

Clooney will play Col. Cathart in ‘Catch-22’, originally adapted into a film back in 1970 starring Alan Arkin. The action is set in Italy during World War II and tells the story of an US Air Force bombardier who wants to conclude his requirements and head back home. The series will begin in early 2018.

Everybody is rushing to the small screen. Clooney is the latest A-list actor to star in a television series. Julia Roberts will make her debut in TV this year also, in the drama series ‘Homecoming.’
