Heather Locklear is reportedly undergoing a psychiatric evaluation after threatening to kill herself on Sunday.

The actress’ mother called the police on Sunday after her daughter threatened to kill herself. The ‘Melrose Place’ star tried to “hurt herself and was looking for a gun to shoot herself. She did not have access to any weapons” according to dispatch audio obtained by TMZ. Moreover, the operator said the actress was agitated and violent.
The case is being ruled as medical as the 56-year-old actress was transferred to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

This incident comes only four months after the actress was arrested for hitting her boyfriend and battery on an officer. In the wake of the incident, she was banned from owning a firearm.

Heather Locklear has been battling depression and addiction for some time now, and reportedly also had alcohol issues over the years. 10 years ago, she experienced a similar event, when someone claiming to be her doctor called 911 alleging she was suicidal. She then sought treatment for anxiety and depression just to enter rehab for prescription pills only a while after.
