1. Take a step back

When we fight, it’s tempting to let our ego get the best of us and start the blaming game. But if we look at the problem from an objective point of view, we can identify the role we’ve played in creating the conflictual situation. 2.  Apologize (sincerely!)

3. Forgive

In order to really put the conflict behind you, you need to forgive your partner. If you find it difficult, remember all the times that your own behavior was offensive or hurtful and what reaction you wished the other had. 4. Don’t be too hard on yourself

While it’s understandable to want the issue to be solved as fast as possible, remember that after a major fight you and your partner need time. Don’t pressure your partner to move forward faster than they are ready. Be patient and don’t make unreasonable demands!
