Although we all know expressing gratitude can significantly improve the way we live, we don’t always acknowledge this. It could be that we always strive for achieving more so our minds are set on the future. But here are 6 signs you’re doing better than you think you are!
1. You are here now.
The simple fact that you are alive now, breathing and reading this means you matter. It also means that you’ve overcome whatever hardship you may have faced with in the past. 2. You have something to look forward to.
In the worst of times, it is crucial for us to have a reason to wake up in the morning and push forward. We need to know that there is something there to hang on to, something that can delight us or inspire us, whether it’s the aroma of fresh coffee, the caress of a loved one, a job we are passionate about, our pet, our philosophy, a new episode from your favorite TV series.

3. “Look for the bare necessities”.
Think about it: do you have access to clean water, food, clothes? Do you have a roof over your head? How about your overall mental and physical health? Rejoice if you’ve ticked all of the above. And let’s not forget about access to information, so vital to self-education and personal growth. We often take our Wi-Fi connections for granted but in 2016 there were still around 4 billion people without internet access.
4. You are questioning things in your life.
Asking questions about where you are in life right now or just asking questions in general means you have developed critical thinking and that you won’t conform to rules unless you have a rational reason to. You refuse to settle for less and in your quest for that which matters to you the most in life you’ve embraced self-reliance.
