5 Signs You’re In A Karmic Relationship

Karma is based on the spiritual principle of cause and effect where our actions and intentions will have an influence on our future. Most of us are familiar with the sayings “As you sow, so shall you reap” or “what goes around comes around”.

One of the golden rules of karma is related to growth and change and this often entails pain. But what about a karmic relationship? They can also be about a heartbreaking experience of grieving situation for one or both partners. What matters is that all karmic relationships are meant to teach us lessons that we must apply in future relationships.

The role of some people in our lives is to help us achieve a new level of maturity or wisdom. Here are 5 major signs you are or have been in a karmic relationship.

1. Repeating a pattern

This is the number one sign that something must change, something you have not become fully aware of yet. If you find yourself having the same argument over and over again with your partner, then you are in a karmic relationship.

Whenever you notice some patterns, know that it is possible you have not learned what you must learn yet. Growth will happen only if you manage to break such patterns.

2. Selfishness

If one of you is unable to cater to the needs of the other person, then you could be in a karmic relationship. Two people can create a safe and strong connection if they both strive to be selfless.

Perhaps you are now in a relationship that will help you become more empathic and teach you how to give yourself more. As long as you will not learn this lesson and continue to focus on yourself only, there will be heartbreak.

3. Anger

Anger is a natural human emotion. But if your relationship abounds in angry or even violent outbursts, then it’s surely a karmic one. We all get angry from time to time, especially if we come home from work after a hard day. But it could be something deeper if you can’t remember last time you weren’t angry towards your partner.

4. Jealousy

When we’re jealous or controlling towards your partner, it only means you are manifesting your fear of losing them. Thus, by letting go of fear you let go of jealousy as well and you can allow your relationship to flourish freely. Again, if there is a pattern that you adopted with previous partners too, then something must change. Take the karmic relationship you are in as a great opportunity to break unhealthy thought patterns.

5. Emotional or physical abuse

This is probably one of the most harmful patterns. Not being able to get away from a hurtful, abusive and toxic relationship can really take its toll on us. Needless to say, if you are dealing with physical violence, you must get out of it immediately. If violence has occurred once, it will happen again.

If your partner is constantly blaming you or putting you down, know that this could in fact help you restore your confidence, self-respect and urge you to love yourself more. But first, you must make it clear to your partner that you won’t put up with their bullying. Or simply walk away. Lesson learned.
